In Indiana, the Chicago Tribune reports Fulcrum Bioenergy has received its air permit from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management for the company’s proposed $600 million Fulcrum Centerpoint waste-to-SAF facility near Gary in the Buffington Harbor area. The facility would use 530,000 tons of preprocessed nonhazardous organic and carbon-based household trash to produce 33 million gallons of SAF annually. Up to 100 trucks per day are planned to deliver the feedstock from processing facilities in Indiana and Illinois.
