In Washington, Reuters reports Environmental Protection Agency data shows D6 ethanol RIN production fell to 1.21 billion in July, down from 1.29 in June. Ethanol production fell in July due to lower-than-usual demand during the summer driving season while low margins kept some producers from producing ethanol. In August, production and blending volumes have picked up slightly. D4 biodiesel credits also fell in July, down to 421 million RINs from 491 million the month prior.
